A Creative Adventure for Kids!

Are you looking for the ultimate summer camp experience for your child in Greensboro, NC? At The Marshall Muse Gallery, we go above and beyond to make sure every child feels inspired, engaged, and excited about creating art!

Our camps aren’t just about making art, though. They’re also about exploring, experimenting, and expressing in a fun, safe, and energetic environment. Led by our enthusiastic and talented instructors, campers will dive into a world of creativity, art history, and hands-on projects that allow them to think outside the box.

What to expect at camp!

• Immersive Art Experience – Kids will explore a variety of art techniques, from painting and sculpture to mixed media and printmaking.

• Freedom to Create – We encourage kids to expand on their own ideas, experiment, and make their art truly their own—no cookie-cutter projects here!

Please note location of camp when you sign up. We are hoping to be open at our new location by July 7th for camp but can not promise due to construction, deliveries and inspections. We want to give your camper the best experience possible so please take note of both locations and watch your email for upcoming details and events.

Summer Art Camps: The Basics

Get ready for a summer full of creativity, exploration, and hands-on fun at The Marshall Muse Gallery’s Summer Art Camps! Each week, young artists will dive into exciting projects tailored to their age group and skill level while exploring different art techniques.

We Offer Camps for:

• Ages 6–8: Playful, hands-on experiences that introduce various techniques in a fun and supportive way.

• Ages 9–12 (or 9 and up): More in-depth projects that challenge students and foster artistic confidence.

• Advanced Camp (Ages 10 and up): A specialized camp for serious young artists who want to create multi-day, detailed projects using mixed media, fine art techniques, and unique materials.

Each camp runs Monday through Friday and is filled with exciting, high-quality projects that kids take home every day!

Paint, Paint, Paint! Ages 6–9 (Location Tracey’s Studio)
June 16th - 20th, 9am - 12:30pm

This is a color-filled adventure for young painters! We’ll explore a variety of painting styles and techniques, including watercolor, acrylics, and pastels. Kids will create fun and expressive pieces using spin art, mixed media, stencils, and brushwork to explore texture, layering, and color mixing!

Paint, Paint, Paint! Ages 9–12 (Location Tracey’s Studio)
June 30th - July 4th, 9am - 12:30pm

For older kids, we take painting to the next level by exploring different surfaces, techniques, and abstract approaches. Campers will create a variety of projects, from collage-based painting to large-scale abstract work and even fabric painting. They’ll experiment with mixed-media painting and learn how to layer textures, use expressive brushstrokes, and work with different tools to create stunning pieces.

Art & Craft Camp: Ages 6–9 (Location TBA)
July 7th - 11th, 9am - 12:30pm

This camp is all about imagination and hands-on fun! Each day, kids will create two to three exciting projects, experimenting with paint, paper, clay, fabric, and mixed media. We focus on process over perfection, making sure every camper feels confident in their artistic expression. From whimsical collages to colorful tie-dye and simple sculpture projects, kids will discover the joy of making!

Art & Craft Camp: Ages 9–12
July 14th - 18th, 9am - 12:30pm (Location TBA)

For older campers, we elevate the creative experience by exploring more advanced crafting techniques with layered mixed media, fiber arts, jewelry-making, and fun DIY projects. Each day, campers create two or three pieces of artwork, incorporating painting, sculpture, and other hands-on materials in creative and unexpected ways.

Advanced Mixed Media Camp: Ages 10 and up
July 14th - 18th, 2pm - 5:30pm (Location TBA)

For serious young artists who want to push their creativity to the next level, this camp focuses on multi-day projects that require more skill and attention to detail. Campers will explore: Layered mixed-media techniques, intricate collage, textured surfaces, and 3D elements, printmaking, assemblage, and experimental painting.

This is the perfect camp for kids who want to focus on one or two large projects per week and explore materials beyond the basics. Projects will require multiple steps and creative problem-solving skills, making it a rewarding and immersive experience!

Draw It! Camp: Ages 9 and up
July 21st - 25th, 9am - 12:30pm (Location TBA)

For young artists who love to draw, this camp will take their skills to the next level! Each day, we’ll explore different drawing techniques and mediums, including: Graphite, charcoal, ink, and pastel, miniature drawings to oversized creations along with perspective drawing and composition techniques.

Campers will also learn sight-drawing techniques, shading skills, and ways to bring depth and realism into their work. Whether they love sketching from life or creating imaginative pieces, this camp builds confidence and skill in drawing.

One of our favorite camps back for round two. This is a color-filled adventure for young painters! Bling & All the Shiny Things Camp: Ages 6–9
August 11th - 15th, 9am - 12:30pm (Location TBA)

This camp is all about sparkle, shimmer, and shine! Campers will create glittering, bejeweled, and metallic art pieces while making fun and imaginative crafts like fairy crowns, shiny sculptures, metallic paintings, and decorative accessories. If your child loves a bright, shimmery, magical aesthetic, this is the perfect camp!

Sculpt & Paint Camp: Ages 6–9
August 18th - 22nd, 9am - 12:30pm (Location TBA)

This camp is perfect for kids who love working with their hands! Each day, campers will sculpt fun creations using air-dry clay, polymer clay, papier-mâché, and more. They’ll then paint and decorate their sculptures using bright colors, metallics, and mixed-media techniques.

Sculpt & Paint Camp: Ages 9 and up
August 18th - 22nd, 2pm - 5:30pm (Location TBA)

For older kids, this camp expands into more detailed and layered sculpture projects, including wire sculptures, textured clay work, and 3D mixed-media creations. We’ll also experiment with wood assemblage, plaster casting, and other unique sculptural techniques.
