Class Structure and Age Groups
We offer classes for three distinct age groups to ensure the best learning experience:
Ages 6–8yrs: 1-hour classes, introducing fundamental art skills in a fun, approachable way.
Ages 9–12yrs: 1.5-hour classes, exploring more advanced techniques and projects to develop the creative voice.
Teens 13yrs–up: 1.5-hour classes, refining fine art techniques and working on more complex, multi-day projects.
Ages 16yrs and up: Teens in this age group may join our adult classes for a more advanced learning experience.
Each age group works on projects suited to their developmental level, ensuring a balance of fun and challenge.

Art & Craft Classes (Ages 6-8 and 9-13)
Ages 6-8 This fun and creative craft class is designed to spark imagination in young artists! Each one-hour session focuses on a different themed project, teaching foundational principles like shape, color, and texture in age-appropriate ways. From whimsical paper crafts to exciting multi-week projects, children will learn how to explore their creativity while developing fine motor skills. Every six-week session features new themes to keep their imaginations growing all year long!
Ages 9-13 For older kids, our craft class offers a chance to dive deeper into creativity with more detailed and challenging projects. Each 90-minute session focuses on teaching the principles of design—balance, contrast, and rhythm—through a mix of weekly and multi-week activities. From sculpture to textile art, students will explore a wide range of materials and techniques. Every six-week session features fresh, inspiring themes to help young artists build confidence and skills.
Fine Art Class (Ages 6-8 and 9-13)
Ages 6-8 This six-week fine art class introduces children to the world of mixed media, blending painting, drawing, and collage to create unique works of art. Through engaging, age-appropriate projects, students will learn about the principles of art, such as harmony, variety, and emphasis, while exploring new materials each week. It’s the perfect way to inspire creativity and teach essential art skills.
Ages 9-13 Young artists will love this six-week journey into fine art, where they’ll experiment with mixed media techniques and deepen their understanding of the principles and elements of art. Each project is designed to encourage creativity while teaching key concepts like movement, unity, and contrast. Students will work on multi-week pieces using a variety of materials, gaining a well-rounded artistic experience and the confidence to express themselves through art.
Drawing Basics (Ages 6-8, 9-15)
Ages 6-8 Perfect for budding artists, this 6-week class introduces children to the basics of drawing using simple shapes and sight techniques.
